Added new home and cameras to Nestcam account. Appears and is viewable on android app but not on desktop website. Why? How to add?

My personal hunch is Google is trying to get all new devices on the Google Home app rather than the acquired company called Nest.
When you added the devices and scanned the QR code, did it prompt you to open the Google Home app or could you do it through the Nest app?
