I just got a Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) and I am trying to link it up to my Nest Thermostat.  However my Nest Thermostat is still Sign In with Nest - I haven't migrated the account to Google Account yet.  Whenever I try to add the device in the Home App, after picking it from the list Works with Google and entering my login credentials, I get an "Oops, something went wrong" message.  I then tried to migrate my Nest account to Google account but I get an error saying my Google account is already linked to a Nest product (my original Nest account uses my old Google email).  Will the Google Nest Hub only work with the Nest Thermostat if its migrated to a Google Account?  If so, how do I go about doing this if it says I already have an linked account?

Hi William,

Sorry to hear about your login issues! I can totally get the frustration. I'm happy to look into this for you.

Since your Hub and Nest Thermostat can work together with Google Assistant, you will need to migrate your Nest account to your Google Home account. This way, your devices should automatically sync. Here's how to migrate your account. If you used the same email for your Nest account and Google account, merging should be fairly simple.

Let us know how it goes! I hope this resolves your issue.
