Can’t connect Nest to Google Home app

I’ve been trying to connect the Nest app to Google Home, but on the login screen after selecting Nest connection I only get the option to sign in with a Nest account and not Google account (which is used to register my Nest device).

The article that was provided indeed has a lot of information that may help with this as it does talk about Migration and what steps you'll need to take. It also talks about troubleshooting as well. I would suggest reviewing that article again as it may help to fix your specific issue.

Hi Garrett,

My Nest account was created with my Google e-mail, migration of the account is not needed as my account was made directly with Google account.

 

I am able to login directly into the Nest application using my Google e-mail, where my purchased device (Nest Protect) is connected.

 

However when I go to my Google Home application, and add a new connection with Nest, it asks for my credentials. I try and login with the same Google account and it gives me an error that the email does not exist.

 

My thoughts is it requires a Nest account or a migrated Google account. It seems to be a common issue as I’ve read that a lot of users have the same problem.
