Can’t find radio on google home or tune in

NoFixedAvatar

I would like to stream some Spanish radio from Spain. I know the stations. However the standard google home cannot find them although it will find American and uk stations. So I tried instructions to link radio app according the google help. This option does not exist for me. In the community I see that google is defaulted to link to TuneIn but I cannot see that either. How did I get google home to play a Spanish radio station on a  routine when I cannot get it to connect to the Spanish station.

Hi NoFixedAvatar,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

Good question. Let me help you. A few things: which country are you located in? What is the name of the radio station? Is this radio station working on the Tune In app? Try the commands below on how to play your radio.

Listen to closest radio station by name:

Say "Hey Google," then:

"Play K-Love on TuneIn"

"Play Mega 97.9 FM"

"Play ESPN Radio"

"Play Mega 97.9 on iHeartRadio"

"Play WNYC"

Listen to radio station by call-sign

"Play KQED"

"Play KFOG"

Listen to radio station by frequency

"Play 98.5"

Listen to radio station by frequency in another location

"Play 98.7 New York"

Listen to radio station by name in another location

"Play Z100 in Portland"

"Play Z100 in New York"

You can check this link for more information.

Thanks,

Juni

Thanks Juni. I did reply using email but can see now that it did not update this conversation. Thank you for replying and following up.  Your reply was exactly the same as the help which I already followed.  It’s why I wrote to the community. Are there any other ways to force Google to register other radios stations?

Hey NoFixedAvatar,

Station availability is generally subject to the app or service that you're using to stream. For example, with TuneIn, even though you're using a Google device to run TuneIn, it's still only going to have the stations TuneIn will stream. Typically most stations will be available, but if you're having issues finding the station, try opening the app you use and see if you can find it manually. If you can find the station in the app, but it still won't stream through Google Home, let me know.

Thanks,

Jeff

I am using google. No streaming app like tune in. Does this mean the google app simply does know my radio station then ? What can I do or app can I use to stream the radio?

My Google Home is stopped finding the radio station American Family Radio.  It directs me to a foreign station each time I ask.

Hey folks,

As of now our supported partners are iHeartRadio and TuneIn, so you can ask to play the frequency or name of the station from those partners. You can use the sample commands given above. Also, to confirm what router are you using?

Thanks,

Alex
