Last ditch as nest support team is (to put it kindly) very disappointing and not helpful. For past few weeks, I haven’t been able to login to the nest app either from iPhone or web browser. After sign in, it gets stuck at the nest logo with status ball spinning endlessly like my son’s hamster on a wheel.
I have combed through the support and troubleshooting pages and nothing worked. Support only gives me the run around - asking to try things that I have already done.
I tried different devices, deleting and reinstalling apps, removing Nest permissions, home/work wifi, cellular. I wish I was able to create a new nest account but that isn’t an option anymore. Very frustrating as I’m not able to manage the codes for my Yale Locks.
Are there no Nest developers left? Open to any other suggestions - since Google completely abandoned the Nest.

Updating this as this may help other folks - I was able to resolve my login issue by creating another Google/Nest account. After creating, I went to the Google Home app, select a device that is registered with the NestApp, and then click on the small nest icon (upper right) which redirected me to the Nest App. After successfully logging in, I logged out and logged back in with my original account.

this is a weird thing that risks locking you out of controlling the various devices on the original account, I don't think I want to try this... there has to be a way to fix the app on the iPhone since I have no trouble logging in on a browser on a laptop

I tried the same things in this identical situation. The login works fine on a laptop but not in the Nest app. The app keeps claiming that it needs cookies but I have no way of enabling (or disabling) cookies for the iPhone app

Oddly my situation reappeared and I’m not able to resolve my issue. I wish I knew a good workaround but I don’t have anything to share.
I agree that this is very frustrating situation as I have devices (Yale lock) that I’m not able to manage because of this. In addition, I like nest camera better because of better history viewing capabilities then the Google home app.
