Cannot find apps after unlinking

edgarallanho

I am trying to relink two systems, Roborock and Sonos. After unlinking from the home, I cannot find the apps when adding device ( + > device > works with Google home ). They do not show up on the search list at all.

When using my spouse's Google home app for the same phone, I can find both Roborock and Sonos devices in the add device section.

Please help.

Possibly related: I removed linked permissions on my Google account to every single app a couple weeks ago for privacy reasons. Could this be messing up my Google home app? I cannot figure out how to relink if Roborock and Sonos are no longer showing up under add devices. I am able to log into them through Google on their respective apps.

Hi @edgarallanho!

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Roborock and Sonos apps aren't appearing in the "Add device" section of your Google Home app. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Are you using a standard Gmail account, or a Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) account?
  • Are you using an Android or iOS device? Is it updated to the latest software version available?
  • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app on your phone?
  • Is your Google Home app, Roborock app, and Sonos app all fully updated to their latest versions?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
