Hi, I haven't been able to use cromecast at all now. I updated the chromebrowser in my labtop few days ago and then it suddenly stopped working. I was waching a movie when it happened. I then went to check in another computer Imac if it was possible to use cast there and it was fine because I hadn't updated the browser there so I desited to update that browser also just to descover and same issue appared.
So now I cant use the cast in either computers, both are apple products. My app in my Iphone does not work at all anymore after my attempts to factory reset, throw out the wifi on device and so on. Now I cant use the home app in my phone to cast to my tv. All my apple products are new. I use an old Sony tv which is perfectly fine but is early smart tv with no apps so I have to count on the chromecast for that one. I'm hoping for a solution and feedback here.

Thank you for your respond.
Last night I managed to fix the connection from my tv to the casting device (2gen) by factory reset the cromecast. Then I had to drag the chromebrowser to the bin and empty the bin before downloading chrome again. The problem was in the beginning that the browser didn't authorize the casting. It kept asking for access to something in the system but didn't say what exactly this access was suppose to be. Now everything is fine.
