Ezviz camero not detected as device for routine/automation

Hello everybody,

I hope you're all doing well.

I recently installed an EZVIZ CB8 camera here in France and successfully linked it to my Google Home using the Ezviz app connector feature. The setup process went smoothly, and within just a few clicks, I was able to link my accounts, and the camera appeared in my list of devices. I can view the camera's live feed by simply clicking on it in the app.

However, I've encountered an issue when trying to set up automated actions for turning the camera on/off when I leave/return home. Specifically, when I navigate to "Routine actions > Adjust home devices," I'm presented with a screen to select the device, but unfortunately, I see nothing there. The camera does not appear in the list. Since this is my first smart home device, the list is empty.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this issue. I'm eager to integrate my EZVIZ CB8 camera into my Google Home routines for added convenience and security.

Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. Are you using Android or iOS? Is the Google Home app updated? Try to reinstall the Google Home app and observe if it makes a difference. Using another phone can also help us isolate this.
