Family Wifi - something went wrong

In the Wifi section of my Google Home app the Devices and Family Wi-Fi sections are not displaying any information. there is just a message saying "Something went wrong" "Try again".

Its been like this for months an nothing seems to resolve it. If I try to access the Family Wi-Fi section, there is simply a message saying "We cannot get your family Wi-Fi information . Please back out of this section and enter again"

Needless to say this doesn't work


Any suggestions?

  • Was this working previously and then stopped suddenly one day?
  • Are you connected to your WiFi network when you enter the Family WiFi settings?
  • Does anyone else in your family group have access to the settings?
  • Have you checked the app store to ensure that you have the latest version of the Google Home app?
  • Are there any other settings that are inaccessible to you?
