Google Hisense TV won’t connect to home app

Hannah5011

Hello,

I recently bought a Hisense 32A45K smart TV and am trying to pair it to my home app, mainly to use the ambient settings feature.

It was successfully paired, and then disconnected right after.  It moves the TV from in my home group to local devices.

I have tried to reset my TV to factory settings, reset my router, update my TV, delete the Google home app, and many other things but to no avail.

How can I successfully pair my TV with the home app, or at least change the ambient settings on my TV (Google photos slideshow etc) without being connected to home app?

Thanks,
Hannah

I have the same problem. Can pair my Hisense 75 TV with google home app to activate the ambient mode. The tv appears as “local” and there’s no option in the right upper corner to set up the ambient mode

Hi maddylopz,

Thanks for posting. I understand that you want to use the ambient mode on your Hisense 75 TV by setting it up on the Google Home app. Don't worry; help is here. First of all, you need to finish the setup of your Google TV before setting up the ambient mode. Here is how:

  1. Turn on your Google TV device.
    • To turn on TalkBack during setup:
      1. Pair your remote with your Google TV device.
      2. For 3 seconds, press and hold the Back and Down buttons.
    • If this doesn’t work, check with your device manufacturer.
  2. Choose a language and your region.
  3. Set up your device with the Google Home app or, on screen, select Set up on TV instead.

After that, follow these steps:

  1. On your phone, open Google Home.
  2. At the top left, tap Add > Set up device > Set up new devices in your home.
  3. Choose or add a home.
  4. Tap Scan code and allow the app to use your phone's camera.
  5. Scan the QR code on your TV screen.
  6. Follow the instructions in the Home app and on your TV screen.

Please keep me posted and let me know how that goes. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny
