Google Home App and Website not showing for family member

Hi everyone!  Hoping this is just a simple fix or I just missed something setting this all up.

I have my house in Google Home (including irobots nest cameras)  I can see them, control them, etc with no problem.

The issue is with my wife trying to do the same thing on her gmail account.  I added her to the family and she can pull up the page, but the cameras act like they havent seen shared from the nest account and she cant control anything due to the exclamation marks next to them.

What did I miss?

Hi EbonWinter,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that your wife is experiencing while she is trying to control the Nest Cameras in your home as a family member. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, you can try to delete her as a family member, add her back again, and make the proof if she can control the devices.

Here is how:

To remove other members:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. If you have more than one home, tap Favorites.
  3. At the top, select the home you want to edit.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Under the home name, tap the profile icons of home members.
  6. Select the profile icon of the home member you want to remove.
  7. At the top right, tap Remove.

After that, you can add her again:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. If you have more than one home, tap Favorites.
  3. At the top, select the home you want to edit.
  4. Tap Settings   Add   Home member.
  5. Enter the name or email address of the person you want to invite to your home.
  6. Tap Next.
    • The person you invite should receive an email with instructions.
  7. Tap Next.
    • Review the person’s access to your home.
  8. Tap Send.

Please keep me posted and let me know how that goes. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny

Thanks for Answering Jenny!

Unfortuantely that didnt seem to to work.  I removed her, and then readded her.  It shows that she is apart of the home but she cant do anything with them, despite confirmation that she is a manager.  The cameras do not load and still have the exclamation mark next to them.

I am really at a loss here.

Hi EbonWinter,

Thanks for the reply and all the efforts with the steps provided. I understand that your wife is still not having access to the cameras, including if she appears like the manager of the home. I'm sorry for the problem that this may cause, but the team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished. We’ll have someone reach out to you via email from there.

Best regards,

Jenny
