The banner notification then goes away

Hi @Dailyhabit,

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the information and pictures you provided me. I'm happy to continue assisting you.

Checking the pictures, I see camera notifications. To get a better understanding of the situation, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • Do you have a Nest Camera? If so, can you please tell me what type of Nest Camera you have?

  • When did the issue start?

  • Do you have problems with other notifications on your phone?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,

Gabriela

Nest IQ, NEST cam outdoor , Nest Cam Battery.

Not sure when, no other app notifications work or appear like the google home app.

I have tried reinstalling the app, factory reset on the camera, transferred from nest to google home back and forth. (Nest iq + Nest cam outdoor)

Only one account signed into the app.

thanks

Hi @Dailyhabit,

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the information you provided me about your Nest IQ Camera and your Nest Cam Battery. I'm happy to continue assisting you.

Checking all the information you shared with me, it seems that you have notifications for basic motion and sound detection. This option detects anything besides a person, animal, or moving vehicle; the camera checks for general motion in the scene. You can check this article to learn more about How Nest cameras detect sound and motion.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Regards,

Gabriela

Im still getting duplicate notifications from the nest cam battery regardless of settings in the google home app.

person seen banner notification - no thumbnail

followed by person seen banner with a rich thumbnail (screenshot of camera view)
