Google Home app Crashes when opening

Hi can you help with the Google home  app? When I have updated the app and the welcome screen opens and you press the “next” button the screen close immediately and you are returned to the iPhone/iPad Home Screen. All iOS soft is up dated and I have an iPhone 14 pro and  an iPad Pro both with iOS 16.6 installed. This has been happening for several months

What "welcome screen" and what "next" button? We don't see a "welcome screen" or a "next" button when opening the Google Home app, and we have iPhones and iPads that are on iOS 16.6.

Are you by any chance on the "Public Preview" version?  (We are not.)

Hmmm. I don't recall seeing that screen.  We certainly don't see it now.

I assume you've tried deleting and reinstalling your Google Home app.

Are you outside the U.S.? I'm asking because of the spelling of "favourite".

How did you get to this screen? I'm asking because of the "Search" return link in the upper left corner.  Have you tried opening the app from your home screen directly?

Hi yes i deleted and reinstalled the app several times. It is the latest version on the App Store.Yes I’m in the UK
