Google Home app not showing correct Hive thermostat status

We’ve had a Hive Mini thermostat working nicely with Google Home for a year or so. But as of yesterday the Home app is not showing the correct status of the thermostat.

The heating is currently on manual, and set to on (19.5c). The Hive app shows this correctly, as does the thermostat itself. However the Home app is showing it as off.

Going to bed last night we had the opposite. Turned the heating off yet the Home app was showing it as on, and heating to 20c. My partner was so worried about leaving it on overnight that I unlinked Hive from Google Home. However, as above having just relinked them, I’m still getting the Home app showing the wrong status.

What’s going on?

I am having exactly the same issue, hive app says temperature of 19° ,Google Home says 7° All routines are working as normal, we use them to set the temperature of our radiators. Google, any update?

I am having the same - Google home shows status as 19.5 degrees - the Hive app and the hive thermostat show set at 14 and Temp of 18.8 I have refreshed the hive account connection and then unlocked the hive account, the Google Home app is still showing a light bulb too that was removed from Hive weeks ago and whenever I ask lights to be turned off it says this light is not available, it's not available because it doesn't exist.

I am having a similar problem. Was fine up until the new year. The Google Home app is telling me the correct temperature in my living room but not the "set" temperature that the Hive Thermostat is "set" to, the app always has it cooler. The Hive thermostat is telling the correct room temperature.

I am also having the same problem, it all works fine through the hive app but google home is not updating.  Currently thermostat is off and house is 14C but google shows it is on auto mode and 17C

If I say ok google set thermostat to auto then it will actually go to auto and the google home display updates but it keep going out of sync.   I have relinked Hive and deleted and re-added devices and rebooted the hive hub etc etc

Also the temperature is not alterable from the google home app but is greyed out although you can change it with voice commands or from Hive app

It happens the same to me. Google home app is showing a random temperature and even though I can change it in Google Home, that doesn't affect the thermostat. It started happening about a month ago.

Same here.  I can control the on/ off but temperatures on Hive control are not reflected on Google Home app.  I suspect this might have happened after I installed the new ' beta' version of the Hive app ( as prompted to do so in the app).

I get this with the beta app or the old one.   I have a samsung phone, not sure if that is relevant

  1. I too have been having this issue since December. From what I can make out, my Hive thermostat status in Google Home is 24 hours behind - after doing some testing. I haven't discovered a resolution yet, but I imagine the solution is with software engineers at Hive or Google. It could be a long wait.
