Hi all-
We have had our Google Home app set up and functioning with all of our devices for the last month. However, tonight, all of those devices disappeared from the app. (Chromecasts and thermometer.) The chromecasts themselves are still connected to the internet (the pictures change on the TV and they are still labeled with their appropriate names on the screens) but they are not available for us to cast to AND not showing up on the app.
We have tried:
- updating the app
- unplugging and re-plugging in the chromecasts
- signing out of the app and then signing back in
- deleting the 'home' in the app
- creating a new 'home'
- deleting the app completely and redownloading it
- restarting the app
- and tried a second mobile device
The thermometer no longer shows up in the app either, and the only time it did early on it said it was 'offline' even though the device itself says it is connected to the internet.
We are currently using computers to stream video so the Wi-fi is working.
None of the things we have tried have worked. At this point even though the chromecasts are actively connected to the internet, none of them show up as options to connect to when trying to create a new home or trying to cast.
Any advice? What should we try next?
