Trying to connect Mi Home with Google Home app without success (no devices found, never worked). Indicates "no device found" despite having both a fan and robot vacuum in Mi Home that work perfectly fine with the native app. Unlinking and re-linking didn't resolve the issue. All apps and hardware are up to date. No problem linking Philips Hue products.
I am unable to link my Google account directly in the Mi Home app (produces a developer non-compliance warning indicating this action is blocked by Google).
Phone: Pixel 6, android 13
Home App: Public preview (Q4 2022 access release)
Location: Switzerland
Account: regular Gmail (same for both Home & Mi)
Network: same network for all devices & applications

We're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's sort this out.
Is this the first time you're linking your Mi Home account to your Google Home app? Are you getting a message when you're linking your Mi Home account? Have you tried removing and adding back your Mi Home devices from its native app? If so, give resetting your Google Home speaker a try.

I have not been able to link my accounts as of yet. When I'm attempting to link, the Google Home app says it's unable to link (no device found). I haven't tried unlinking - will do and I'll see how it goes.
