Google Ruined Nest

Hey Everybody -

I purchased Nest prior to Google's acquisition.

Apparently, you can no longer add a Guest with Door Access only. Now, when you invite somebody to your home, they effectively get administrative control. This is simply terrible design. Nest had this figured out. Google chose to break it.

Really frustrated. I'm sure I'm not alone. Just needed to put this somewhere. Little confidence it will make a difference.

Google - are you going to fix this and return the simple, effective functionality that we had with Nest?

Jerry

@jseinerjr You use the home app to add family members but to add a guest with door access only, you still need to use the Nest app. Log onto the Nest app with your Google credentials and then select your lock. Click on "Family & Guests" in the bottom left of the app and then select "+ Add a guest"

Ok, that works. Thank you.

However, I only found this information from this thread. It's not very "googlable" otherwise.

You're welcome, glad I could help
