I just want to go on record and point out how asinine it is that the nest app doesn’t support login with Google Workspace accounts.
Your app has been nagging me for years now to switch to a Google Account from a nest account, I finally give in and try to switch, just to find out that my can’t login with my very long standing Google Workspace account.
This is mind boggling.
Implementing “Login With Google” via oauth, whether on mobile or web, is trivially easy, and just about any dev anywhere is capable of doing it with about 15 mins of work.
And you guys are Google.
It seems like every other app in the universe supports logging in with Google workspace accounts except yours.
And the kicker is… you oauth flow works, and then you have some extra check after to say “sorry you can’t use this account”.
I just don’t get it.
And you keep nagging me to switch!
Either fix the stupid arbitrary login bug or stop nagging me.
