We have two Lenovo Smart clocks - one in each child's bedroom.
I have set up a home using Google home app. I have managed to add both devices and everyone in our household, except my daughter. Every time I try to add her I get referred to the family link app and then get an error message telling me to ask the person who set up these devices to add me to this home in the Google Home App. I am that person, so no idea what that's about. Have tried everything including deleting the device from her account.
I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure what the point of creating a home and inviting everyone in the household is? I want to be able to turn off/switch on these devices, and talk to them, which I presume is helped if we're all in the same "home"? Is that it? Should I be creating a home as the parent, or should the children create their own home for their device? My daughter has created a home on her own phone and invited me to it - that works fine - what are the downsides of this? Any idea why I can't add her to the same home as the rest of us?
I can find no explanations of how best to set up and why online - just instructions.
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.
I understand that this issue can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?
Please let me know.

Hi thanks, I did see your reply but got a weird error message when I tried to respond. We did as above. We have given up with that now and created separate homes for each device. Only the kids use them anyway.
It looks like we haven't heard back from the OP so I'm going to go ahead and lock the thread. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to create a new thread.
