Google home app heating schedule

Is there a way of setting up a heating schedule in the google home app. There was the schedule option in the Nest app but I can't find this in the home app? A YouTube video describes presets like comfort, eco and sleep. These options don't show on my google home app?

Hello SMcM,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.

Depending on the Nest Thermostat model you have, managing or editing the temperature schedule in the Google Home app is available if you have the 2020 model of the Nest Thermostat, but if you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat, creating or adding schedule temperatures can only be done through the Nest app, but you can still control it over the Google Home app.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Regards,

Mark

Hello everyone,

@SMcM how's it going with your Nest Thermostat? In case you haven’t done any steps, try the steps I’ve shared below.

To view, edit, or create temperature presets for your Nest Thermostat 2020:

  • Open the Home app.
  • Touch and hold your device's tile.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Select Temperature preferences.
  • Choose Temperature presets.
  • Select an existing preset to change or delete it, or tap Add add_routine to create a custom preset.
  • Tip: Look for the Nest Leaf Nest thermostat leaf icon when adjusting your schedule. When it appears, you’ll know that you’ve set a temperature that can help save energy.

For Nest Learning Thermostat:

  • While viewing your Nest Thermostat’s schedule:
  • Tap the day of the week that you want to add a new temperature to.
  • Tap Add.
  • Tap on the grid to add a new setpoint.
  • You can drag the setpoint left and right to change the time. Drag it up or down to adjust the temperature.

Looking forward to your response.

I appreciate your help, Mark.

Thanks,

Emerson
