I am trying to connect my nest thermostat to my Google home hub, I have gone through Google assistant, selected nest and when I try to log in using my Google account (as I have now migrated my account) it says I have the incorrect email address or password! I am loosing the will to live with google….why does there need to be a million apps, why can’t it just be one!

Was the thermostat previously owned by the prior home owner?

No, all mine, always had been mine and has worked fine for the last 5 years!

Did you migrate the nest thermostat to a new residence or a new Google hub?

If you have multiple Google accounts open the Google Home APP and make sure the right account is being used.

I managed to bypass the nest login screen by opening google chrome and logging in on home.nest.com with my gmail account, since I also have a migrated account. By default the google home app will send you to a nest login page but you can't choose the option to login with your gmail account for migrated accounts. However after going through this when I try to add nest to my google home app, it sends me to a nest page with the message that I have to add the device in the google home app... So it sends me back and forth....... I'm stuck as well...

Hello folks,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Thanks for helping here, @MsDrasby.
@hmassietaylor and @MatthiasHakir, I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you both. I understand it can be confusing, but I'd love to help.
There is no need to link your Nest Thermostats in the Google Home app if they are already added in the Nest app. Please make sure that you are logged in with the same email address used for the setup on your thermostat so that it will automatically appear in the Google Home app. If so, check for other structures where your thermostat might be connected. Here's a guide on how to switch home structures.
Please let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Mark
