Google home app problem

I recently have a problem with google home during video mirroring on tv , via my cellphone.
The phone is Xiaomi redmi 9 pro 6/128, and 1,5 year I used it with google home works perfectly on mirroring video to my tv.
Until now, I am not sure if the last update  I done before a while 12.5.5.0 , is responsible for that.
The problem is that every time I use google home to watch a video on tv : it doesn't stop but it often freezes while playing the video and after some use the phone gets very hot.

Could you have an experience about similar problems of this kind , and also similar phone or update?

When I use another phone Xiaomi redmi 9t 2/30 , it works perfect on the same tv device.

Hi, thanks for your responding,

I changed from my router the 4g conection to 5g  on my phone (from the same router), and it seems to work correctly the last few days.
The tv is with built-in Chromecast and recognise only 4g, from the same router also.
I am not sure if that was the problem.
If it do not happened again, I'll inform you to have it in your mind  as a help option, for further information to other people with similar problems.

Best regards,

Hey Tolis,

Thanks for reaching out.

A few questions: are you getting the same result when casting from a cast-enabled app? Also, do you have a Chromecast or a TV with a built-in Chromecast? Try reinstalling your Google Home app.

Try these additional steps:

  • Power Saving Mode must be turned off.
  • Important: The Microphone permission in the Google Play Services app needs to be turned on to successfully use the Cast screen or audio feature with Chromecast. If the customer doesn't have this permission turned on, the Cast screen session will immediately disconnect after it attempts to connect.

To turn on Microphone permissions:

  1. On the Android device, tap Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap Apps > Google Play Services > Permissions.
  3. Look for Microphone and slide the slider on On.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Alex
