Google shopping list vs grocery list

I have a shared home with my husband. We have a shared “grocery” list. Up until last week I’ve been able to add to it using our devices seemlessly. This week, she says “adding cuz to your shopping list”. This is not the shared list, and I don’t see a new shopping list. Anybody know how to fix this?

Hi Lizslone,

This is not the experience we want you to have; let me help you. A few questions:

  • Which Nest speakers are we working with?
  • When did your issue begin?
  • Is your speaker or display powered on correctly?
  • Is your speaker or display set up on your Wi-Fi network?
  • Is your speaker or display properly linked to a Google Account?
  • Are you using a mobile device that has the same Google Account as your speaker or display?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.
  4. Make sure you use the same Google Account used to set up the speaker or display.
  5. Make sure that Google Account is selected within the Google Home app.

For additional help, see this guide about shopping lists.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan

Thanks. I did all the reboots. I have nest minis and an xl display and a house speaker. All google. All the same network. All the same home. All on the google account.

the fix was deleting all lists, restarting the app, adding a new list back in.

Hi Lizslone,

Thanks for updating us. Glad to know that it was all sorted out after trying some steps from your end.

Since this has been resolved, we'll consider this complete and will lock the thread now. Feel free to start a new one if you need assistance with your Google Nest devices and the Community would gladly lend a hand.

Best,

Princess
