Have Windows PC -On / Off as a trigger status

I use a strip lights as a background for my PC it helps make my keyboard more visible and reduces eye strain. I was thinking it would be cool that i could set a trigger using my PC on status for my lights or any device.

Maybe a way of setting up a script or something that lives on the PC. if you want to take it further for the streamers you could have triggers for other devices. I think there is a lot of up here.
