Help changing primary account holders

My former partner who set up our google home network has left the family. I would like to change the primary account user info from his email to mine. 

I read i may need to recreate and relink everything, but how do i do that?

Thanks for reaching out — let me help you.

Give these steps a try:

1. Make sure you're signed into the same Google Account that you want to use on your Google Home app. 
2. Reset your Google Home to its default settings to erase the previous account link to it.
