Home app crashes after loading

Goood morning,

I've been using the home app for several years and my entire home is controled with the nest speakers.  I have about 50 different devices that are linked to the home app. About a month ago my wife got her new phone (Samsung S21 FE), when I started the home app on her phone the app closed itself. After about a week the same thing started on my phone (Pocofone F3) and my tablet (Pixel C). Ifound out that when I login with a different google account there is no problem. I've been searching for weeks for a solution.  I've deleted the home app, several times but nothing helped. Do you have any ideas?

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries; we'll check this out. A few questions: what is the mobile device’s operating system? Does this frequently happen to those devices? What's the Google Home app version?

Hello Edmond,

My smartphone has Android 13 and the version of the Home app is 3.2.1.7 and it happens everytime I use the Home app.

Hey mickvisser, 

Thanks for giving me that information, and sorry for the late reply. After you reinstalled the Google Home App, have you power cycled your phone? If yes, try to reset the app preferences. Here's how: Go to the device's Settings, then Apps, then See All Apps, then the 3 dots menu, and then Reset app preferences.

Good morning Edmond,

I’ve  reset the app preferences but this was not the solution. When I login with with mickvisser666 the home app crashes. I’ve made a second gmail account for testing purposes, when I use this account for the home app it doesn’t crash. I’ve reset my phone to factory settings and even that didn’t work. I believe it has something to do with my mickvisser666 account settings.
