Home automation not adjusting android phone settings

Automation in the Home app stopped adjusting settings on my android phone. Started with the volume settings and slowly stopped working on all settings. Now it will not adjust brightness, do not disturb, nothing seems to work.

Oddly, I can ask the assistant to make adjustments, and can manipulate my settings through it. So I tried the command option on the Automation to replicate these actions, still no love.

A few questions: when did it begin? Were there any recent changes made? What is the make and model of your Android phone?
 

You can delete and create the routine once more then observe if it makes a difference.

Hey Juni,

I have slowly been loosing functionality over the last year(ish). It has been a month or so I noticed the automation failing.

As I worked with the issue, I did delete my automation routines and rebuilt them, still not automating. 

I am on an LG V30.

I rebuilt the routine, and it worked when I manually tested it, all the features. When it runs on it's own, NONE of them worked.

HI Juni, I am having the same issue as BGuiver. My issue began approximately 2 weeks or more, my Automation in Google Home still runs and controls devices in the routine but now my Android phone is not switched to DND.

My phone is a Samsung S21 (SM-G998B). I have recreated a new personal routine to activate DND but this did not work either.  Thanks
