My Google Home won't connect to my dish hopper 3, it is showing as an option to pair but it just keeps saying can't connect hopper 3 is offline. But the hooper 3 is NOT offline. It is connected because I just paired it with my dish anywhere. I've unplugged and plugged, reset tried everything I can think of.. HELP I want to watch my video

Hey Plutsey12,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let me help you out.

Try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap Account (the icon with the first letter of the customer's name or their profile picture)..
  3. Make sure the customer's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  4. Tap Assistant Settings > Home Control.
  5. Tap the search box, then type Dish. Select the result and follow the on-screen instructions.
    1. At this point the customer needs to follow the steps from their Dish set-top box.
      1. On the remote control, press Settings.
      2. Find Google Assistant.
      3. Select Get Code.
    2. Ask the customer to go back to their mobile device.
  6. Enter the code that's presented on the screen and select Activate.
  7. On the next page, the receivers are shown to the customer. Add the receivers to their respective rooms in the app. This step allows the customers to specify where they want commands to be sent.

Note: If you find more than one Dish set-top box on your account, use the receiver ID to determine which receiver goes in which room.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Alex

Hey Plutsey12,

If you're trying to mirror your phone to your TV, you need to have a Chromecast device or TV with built-in Chromecast. Check this guide for more information.
