People I live with keep adding joke reminders on my Google Nest. I want to change my Google Nest so that I can't set reminders using it. I checked Google's own support website which just said that if I added voice match then others wouldn't be able to manage my reminders, however I did this and they still could. Can I turn the reminders part off?

Hey there,

While there isn't away to outright disable the feature, you could just disable the reminder's notifications, so you won't have to hear them:

  1. Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the Google Home or Google Nest device.
  2.  Open the Google Home app.
  3. At the top right, tap your account.
  4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to the Google Home or Google Nest device. To switch accounts, tap another account or add another account.
  5. Go back to home screen.
  6. Tap your device.
  7. At the top right, tap Settings   Notifications & digital wellbeing.
  8. Turn Notifications on or off.

That is the best you can do, since there isn't a real way of disabling the feature outright. Let me know if you had any more questions or concerns, I'm always happy to help out.

Best regards,

Jeran
