I have the nest thermostats (non -learning, not e) and am using the google home app. I'm trying to change the temperatures for the preset "eco". I am away for several months of the year and want to hold the temp in my house at 60 degrees in the cooler months --not 56 degrees (which is the current preset value). My understanding is that holding on a "preset" is the only way to hold a temp for longer than 24 hours at a time. Otherwise, I'm having to check every 24 hours and put the temp manually back to 60, which is ridiculous and impractical. How can I change the preset value of eco to be 60 degrees and not 56? Is there a menu for that? Can I create a new preset temp? Otherwise is there a way to set the thermostats to stay at one specific temperature for an extended period of time (longer than 24 hrs!) ?

Hey Dfliner,
Sorry for the delayed response but thanks for reaching out.
Your Nest thermostat gives you a temperature range that you can select from when you set an Eco Temperature. The Eco Temperature ranges you can choose from are large: 40-70 °F (4-21 °C) for heating mode and 76-90 °F (24-32 °C) for cooling mode. In order to do the change, please follow the step by step guide here.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Best,
