Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delayed response.

Just to confirm — are you trying to integrate your Nest thermostats to your Google Home speakers or displays using your Google Home app? If yes, are your Google Home speakers or displays and Nest devices set up on separate email addresses?

Let me know so I can dig deeper into this.

I’m trying to integrate my nest thermostat to my google home app. I have set up a nest account using my gmail account, which is the same one I’m using with the Google home app.

Hey Johnyswim,

Got it ― what devices do you have on your Google Home app that you want to integrate? Just to confirm as well, when logging into your Nest app, are you choosing the Sign in Google or the Sign in with Nest option?

Best,

Melba

I have the google nest thermostat on the nest app (which I just recently created using my google acct), but not yet on my google home app. I’m trying to connect the nest thermostat to my google home app.  I do following steps.
1. Open the google home app

2. Set up device

3. Works with google

4. Then select the nest app under Add new

After this it takes me to the log in page “home.nest.app”

and I trying using my google login info and it doesn’t recognize it.  Then it prompts this “

Hey there,

Sorry for the delay but thanks for these added details.

If you started using the Nest app after August 19, 2019, you created a migrated Google account. Having said that, the linking process you provided above does not apply to you as this is only for non-migrated Nest accounts.

Are your Google/Nest devices on your Google Home app set up using the same Nest account that you're using to login to your Nest app to manage your Nest thermostats? If yes, your thermostats should automatically be there on your Google Home app as long as you're signed in to the right account.
