I have a Google Nest Hub Max which I use to control my Nest Thermostat and my heating & hot water. However, I have just had solar panels fitted and would like to take advantage of the surplus power they generate. To this end, I'd like to be able to control my existing immersion heater through a Nest linked timer (and possibly cylinder mounted thermostat); is there a simple way that I could do this that would mean I'd be able to turn off my gas boiler during the warmer months and just use the immersion heater? This would enable me to cut my gas bill quite considerably.
