Inviting others a Google Hub

I have several Google Hubs (large and Minis), all connected to my primary email account. love the devices and the useability. But having tried without resolution to invite guests, and after many, many attempts for years I have just been informed that Google Home will not work correctly with email!

And the reason?

My email is a Gsuite/Workspace Account, an administered Gmail account for which I pay a premium. The suggested resolution, set the system up with a regular Gmail accounts as this will not work with a G Suite account.

This information now makes my use of the Gsuite/Workspace and the associated equipment useless. So I have wasted money and will have to migrate to another platform and soak up the associated costs. This is incredibly disappointing.

Is there anyone in the Engineering team that can help with a solution?

I've seen customers posting about this for a long time, but there is no indication it will change.

Hi there,

Thanks for visiting the Google Nest Community. As Google Workspace accounts have different structures and levels of security, some features on Google Home may or may not work. If you are the Super Administrator of your Google Workspace account, you can try the steps on how to Link a Google Workspace account to the Google Home app. Note that it still may not work, depending on your email’s security settings.

Thanks for the input, MpIsCustomer.

Regards,
Alex
