Issue linking spotify to google home

I’m not too entirely sure how to label this - apologies. I have been trying to link my spotify account to my google home device, and it shows as linked in the home app - however when I try to play music on it using my spotify account - it says that my Spotify account isn’t linked. I’ve re-downloaded both apps, signed out of spotify, turning off the device etc., however nothing is working.

Go ahead and factory reset, then setup your Google Home device to ensure that it's configured on the email account signed in in the Google Home app.
