Linking account

I am trying to link my NEST account to Google, but when I try, I get a message that my email is already linked to another NEST account....How can I delete the old account and link my current one?

Google Nest's help age says "It is not possible to unlink a Google Account and Nest Account that have already been linked to each other." And lists two options:
