Logging into home.nest.com web app

A few months ago google update their single sign on application. Ever since then I've been unable to log into home.nest.com web app.  When I attempt to login I fall into this loop where I click login from the home.nest.com sign in screen, it takes me to google sign in,  once I login it sends me back to home.nest.com but tells me I need to login, and the process starts over again.

I've tried all the normal web debugging tricks, cleared cached, disabled plugins, tried incognito mode, etc.

This issue is limiting my ability to use my nest products and a real problem for me.

Hi @ufmemo,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you're going through this when you try to sign in your Nest account. Don't worry, let's work together to figure out the issue you're experiencing. To help with that, I have a few questions for you:

  • Have you migrated your Nest account to a Google account yet?
  • Are you trying to sing in using " Sign in with Nest" or "Sing in with Google"?
  • Have you tried signing in from another device? Does the problem persist there as well?

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps you've already tried. I appreciate it!  Please reply to this post once you have the answers to these questions.

Cheers,

Jonathan

Hi, I have migrated my account and I have tried to login w/ "sign in with Google".   I have the issue with All web browsers across devices.  I am able to login via the IOS app tho.

Thanks.

Hi @ufmemo,

Thanks for your reply.

Based on the information you provided, it appears you attempted to sign in to the Nest web app using an iPhone device. To help me further diagnose the issue, do you have access to a Windows computer where you could try signing in? This will help me determine if the problem persists across different platforms.

Please keep us updated on the outcome. I appreciate your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Jonathan
