My Google Home app is displayed a message, help!

Hi I’ve been using Google Home Mini for about a year and on Tuesday the 18, 2021 an earthquake hit and ever since the app has been displaying “Unexpected response from server” and I don’t know what to do!

Sorry to hear about the earthquakes, I'm sure it's a little stressing, but let's take a look into why your app is giving you that message when signing into the Google Home app.

Would you mind answering a few questions?

• Are you using a regular Gmail account that ends with @gmail.com domain?
• Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Yes I did see your response but if you didnt see it then here it is again;

No I am not using a @gmail.com domain. Yes I have tried uninstalling the app

Hi Justin, 
Thanks for getting back to me. So the first thing that is causing this issue is because you're not using an @gmail.com domain. Unfortunately, that can cause the issue sometimes, and most likely is what fixes it.
