I can confirm. It is not working.
11-08-2025 01:57 PM
Same here really poor that http://status.nest.com/ is wrong.
11-08-2025 02:00 PM
Agreed. That was the first place I checked and then troubleshooted my system for like 5 more mins before I found this.

100% google is playing games…. Very frustrating
11-08-2025 02:02 PM
My Google app works but the Nest app doesn't.
11-08-2025 02:06 PM
Same
11-08-2025 02:04 PM
On hold with support for 15 minutes and waiting…. The app is definitely down and has been for a long while. Google is not doing their job. At least they should recognize the problem and acknowledge on the status page. Down detector has it listed as down.
11-08-2025 02:08 PM
Same, nest app has not been working for a while today.
Any news when it’ll be back up?
We wouldn’t even need it if Google actually had an app that works with the camera’s features instead of just live view or history quips.
Google - if you’re gonna take over a company, AT LEAST get your programmers to support the hardware without forcing people to upgrade to your new crap.

Same here. Nest Thermostat App is not responding since this afternoon.
11-08-2025 02:28 PM
Just came back up…google is terrible about updating the status page! Says everything is fine but down detector shows that there are problems! Frustrating 4 hours and forget about calling support
11-08-2025 02:31 PM
Yep, just came back up for me as well. I get that the priority is to fix the problem, but a little communication and honesty would go a long way instead of this clown show.

Hi all,
I've shared this with the Google Nest community team for review.

Not able to login to APP on IOS - The same account is visible via browser but App spins and never connects. I've re-installed the APP and rebooted the phone
11-08-2025 02:25 PM
I have the same problem; the app is down and I've tried all their suggested fixes.
11-08-2025 02:09 PM
"Network error. NEST app had trouble communicating. "
Was working fine , for years, until this evening.
I have reinstalled the app.
I have rebooted wifi.
I have restarted phone.
Thermostat and Heatlink are talking to each other. Its just the App that's the problem.
I can not get the App to connect. Reverts to the Sign In page.
I use Nest to sign in, not linked to a Google account.

Same issue, but we use Google.
Google home has connection ok, thermostat by itself is ok, the Nest App is having issues.
Takes forever to log in after logging out, then has connection error.
11-08-2025 06:28 PM
Mine is still down, anyone else?

I’m also facing the same issue — the Nest app isn’t loading and keeps showing connection errors.
I’ve checked my internet connection and other apps, and everything else works fine, so it seems to be a server-side problem.
I hope the Nest team is already working on fixing it soon.
Let’s keep an eye on https://yacinetvgeeks.com/
for updates.

I have a Nest 3 that I've been using for about 6 years with no problems. My phone is an iPhoneX. I have been able to access the stat rom the phone via tha app with no problems. On rare occasions I wasn't able to log on but a second try was all it took and no more troubles. Today I am completely unable to log on. That itself is annoying since I never had to actually log on once I had set things up. I've confirmed my user and PW and attempted multiple times, but I keep getting told there was a problem to try again. I even used the Google login but I have never set that up and it gives me errors too. I've had a Nest for many years, long before Google took over and I've also had an iPhone for all those years. I made no changes to anything, my wifi works for everything else in the house. There have been no iOS updates and I keep the phone as updated as possible. Any update for the stat are only whatever may be automatic, if anything.

Hi @patchelect1
Are you still experiencing this issue? It appears there may currently be or was recently an issue with the Nest service:
11-09-2025 05:38 AM
As of 8:37 AM Eastern Time I am still experiencing th problem
11-09-2025 11:53 AM
The technology glitches can be tricky to troubleshoot. While dealing with these issues, I’ve found staying healthy and energized important, and my-ocure tablet used for daily wellness really helps maintain focus.

I finally decided to use Google to sign in and after the hoops and jumps I got it working. Apparently they decided to no longer allow my Apple ID to work. Thanks Google~

All of a sudden Nest says there is a connection issue. But still see them on Home app
11-08-2025 01:51 PM
There must be an issue with the Nest service right now. I cannot connect either, but was getting notices from the Nest app 20 minutes ago that I can still view.
11-08-2025 02:20 PM
For us, the Nest app is now accessible again.

I’m experiencing the same problem — the Nest app refuses to load and keeps giving connection errors. My internet is working normally and all other apps ppcine online are running without any issues, so this definitely looks like a server-side outage.

Appreciate you sharing this. It’s always helpful to know when others are experiencing the same issue. Outages remind us how dependent we’ve become on connected apps. While waiting for services to come back, I often relax with streaming platforms like Xuper TV App for uninterrupted entertainment.
