Nest App cannot be added in Google Home due to Authentication Error

Hello!

 

It is a month now since I have a Google NEst learning thermostat 3rd generation. 

I set it up in Nest App and works great.

When I am trying to add the Nest device in Google Home and select Sign In with Google I get the following error.

Can someone help me?

The way it is supposed to work is that when the Nest Learning Thermostat is added using the Google Nest app, it should AUTOMATICALLY show up in the Google Home app, provided that you are logging onto both apps with the same Google (gmail) account and are accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure" in both apps. The thermostat is not supposed to be separately "added" to the Google Home app.

However, I just saw this new post today on a different thread; I don't know if it's relevant or not:
