Nest App on iOS keeps going offline

I have a 3 gen nest thermostat, firmware version 6.2-27,  that is 12 feet, in line of sight of the router and is connected to the network.  I have an iPhone 14 running iOS 18.2.1 with the nest app version 5.80.0.  My issue is that over the last year the app continually shows the thermostat as offline turning my thermostat into a dumb device.  Normally this isn't a problem if I'm home but a huge problem in NV if I'm out of the house.  As I sit here typing on my networked connected Macbook I have watched the app go from connected to offline back to connected.  Over the past 3 days have of done taken the following steps to correct the issue.

1. Hard reboot of my router.

2. Hard restart of the thermostat

3. Checked iPhone iOS version and hard restart.

4. Deleted Nest from iPhone, hard restart of phone, reinstalled Nest app. App will work for a period of time and then show offline.

5. Deleted app and reinstalled with no hard restart of iPhone. All works for a period of time and then goes offline.

How do I fix this continuing issue because with the temperature extremes in the Las Vegas valley I need a thermostat and app that works continually not just momentarily.

You might want to try contacting Support to determine whether your thermostat is defective:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Thermostat works a fine its the app that I keep having the issue with.

@Tddeuel

It could be that a defect in the thermostat is preventing it from communicating correctly with the Google Nest app.
