I currently use multiple wireless products (cameras, doorbell, thermostat) and a 4k streamer hard wired to ethernet network. My hard wired ethernet network is hooked up to TVs, Computer, and Stereo Equipment. Everything pretty much gets along with each except one issue.
When I connect to the Home App to look at my cameras, thermostat etc., the Home App is turning on my Anthem AVR (Home Theater Receiver). It does not show up in the app and the only way I can get it to stop is to unplug the ethernet cable from the AVR. The problem is there are functions in the reciever that are only accessible from the control app of the reciever.
My wife checks this app constantly to monitor my dogs so I currently have my AVR unplugged from my home network.
