I have a web filter that is blocking Google Nest internet traffic when trying to add thermostats to my account with the Nest app on an Android phone. As soon as I turn off the filter, the app works fine and I can add and manage the thermostat without issue. Turning the web filter back on begins to block the internet traffic again.
Please point me to where I can find the hostname allowlist for Google Nest so that I can add this to my web filter. For example, here's a hostname allowlist for all ChromeOS devices:

I'm looking for the exact same thing, but for Google Nest.
Thank you.

Google doesn't maintain such a list for Google Nest and Google Home products. These are consumer devices, unlike ChromeOS which can be used in an enterprise setting, hence no documentation on what to whitelist as that is something typically not done in the consumer space.
Can your web filtering tool not show you what traffic is being dropped?

That's too bad. It would be awesome if an engineer eventually saw this to help us out. Oh well...
