Hi there,
I have had my Google Nest Thermostat connected for many years to my Google Home. Until recently, I was always able to command my Google Home to "turn on the thermostat" or "turn off the thermostat". As of a couple months ago, I am no longer able to "turn off the thermostat". I can command it to turn on, but not off. When I command it to turn off, it responds with "to control your thermostat, you can say....and make sure it's added to your Google Assistant App".
Also, when I open the Google Home app and try to click on the settings under the thermostat device, it says "caller does not have permission".

Hi Sumeet1,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you cannot turn on or turn off your Google Nest thermostat device using the Google Home app. I am happy to help! Before I proceed, I need to ask some questions to better understand the situation.
Could you send me a screenshot showing how your thermostat device appears on the Google Home app?
Have you noticed if your Google Nest thermostat displays any error messages on its display?
Are your Google Home app and Google Nest thermostat updated?
I will be awaiting your response.
Regards,
Manuel
