Nest and Google home - they don't play nice

If you are an owner of Google Nest, all the products - Protect, ThermoStat, Cameras - they don't swap over to Google Home; it's a worthless investment if you buy anything going forward.  You have to completely re-introduce each item separately into Home, which offers NOTHING new from Nest - it's just Google tripping over itself pretending it's relevant and knows more than anyone else.  Home and Next aren't compatible yet they are and do the same thing.

They should take a lesson from Apple on how to merge items you sold before with items you sell now.

So if you have Nest and want to expand - you can't.  You have to start over.  And that is ridiculous.

on the same subject. I purchased another camera on the Google nest outdoor battery and cannot add it to the Nest app. I can only added to the Google Home App. I pay for a subscription for video history and yet I am not able to view any of my video history through the Google Home app at all I can only view video history perfectly on the Nest app yet it looks like we are being forced to migrate everything to the Google Home app we’re nothing will work properly as we were used to. For me detailed video history is the most important item not sure to where to go for support

no luck at all, I cannot subscribe to get 30 days of video history, I get an error that migration is in progress, check back later. I migrated the Nest to Google a year or two ago.

  Need assistance.
