Nest thermostat is online but in the Home App its offline

I have 11 Nest thermostat installed recently in my house. All works fine except two. After installing and setting up it worked for a while and went offline in the Home App. If I check the thermostats they are connected to wifi, battery good, getting power, connected to account and everything looks good.

I tried everything. Restarted, factory reset, new setup, removing from the home app and re-adding it. Same problem.

Any solution?

Hello Majszi,

I'm sorry for the late response. To further isolate your concern, is your Nest Thermostats still showing offline on the Google Home App? How far away is your Nest Thermostats from your router? Please give these steps a shot:

  1. On your Nest Thermostats in questioned, remove the display from their base and take out the batteries for a minute then, plug them back in.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home App.
  3. Reboot your router for at least 3 minutes.
  4. Restart your phone for a minute.
  5. Ensure that your phone is still connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  6. Reopen the Google Home App and check the Nest Thermostats.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Mark
