Nest thermostats and indoor cam only show in the nest app not in home app

I have 2 nest thermostats and a nest indoor cam that work fine in the Nest app but they don't show up in the Home app. I have tried the trick to create a new home in the Nest app however i get an error if i try to remove the empty home in the Home app. (Cloud not available).

I've often wondered whether "cloud not available" errors are due to a temporary communication failure between a customer's home and Google Nest's servers. (But I don't know why only some customers seem to get the error; we never get it. Maybe it depends on country or region.) Have you tried going in later to the Google Home app to delete the empty "home" you created?

I'm just another Google Nest customer, but you should be able, in the Google Home app, to delete an empty "home" that you created in the Google Nest app. I believe "cloud not available" means there is some sort of error occurring on Google Nest's servers.

Are you logging into both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same Google account and connecting to the same Google Nest "home/structure"?

If you are, you could try deleting the "home" in the Google Nest app. You could also try contacting Support (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp)

By the way, did your thermostats and camera appear in the Google Home app?

I dont believe its possible to delete homes in the Nest app

Okay, I see that now.

Again, if you're unable to delete an empty "home" in the Google Home app and are getting a "cloud not available" error, that seems to be a problem on Google Nest's servers, and you might have to contact Support to get them to resolve it.

It's odd that you have two thermostats and a camera set up in the Google Nest app that are not appearing the Google Home app.  Are those devices assigned to a "room" in the Google Nest app?  Are you logging into both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same Google account and connecting to the exact same Google Nest "home"?

By the way, did your thermostats and camera appear in the Google Home app after creating the empty second "home"?

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm sorry to hear that you're still having a problem with this. Have you tried deleting the home structure using a different mobile device? Make sure that you're the owner of the account and not a home member. Also, try using your web browser and go to https://goo.gle/2qjvVSU and sign in to your same email address.
