Hi all, this is a bit of a complicated problem but I'll try to be as concise as possible!
I work at a non-profit on a farm and we have Nest cameras for security. The Nest account was first created by someone named James who hasn't worked here in years. He added our Barn Director, Marie, to the account and she is currently the only one who has access, but we wanted some staff members who live closer to the barn to have access as well. That's when it became apparent that we needed to "migrate" to a Google Home account. I'm our in-house tech support so I was trying to do this on Marie's phone and successfully migrated to a new Gmail account that I made specifically for this purpose, since our Workspace accounts weren't eligible.
Now, the Nest app requires a login through the Google Home account we made, the regular old Nest login no longer works, but despite receiving an email that the migration was successful, none of the cameras are showing up in the Google Home app, the app won't let me add them from scratch because they're already connected to a Nest account, and I'm finding myself at a road block. The Google agent I chatted with can't even find accounts on either Nest or Google Home. They suggested that the problem was that the users I'm trying to add via Google Home so they have access need to also migrate their accounts, but they never had Nest accounts to begin with and I am using their personal @Gmail.com emails rather than their Workspace emails.
Does anybody know what my next move should be? Some of the cameras are also hard to access because they're mounted high up, so I'd like to avoid having to completely deactivate them and add them from scratch, if possible.
Thank you for any insight!!

Perhaps what happened is that you successfully migrated Marie's Nest Account to a Google Account, but since Marie is not the actual "owner" of the Nest Account that owns your cameras (James actually is), all that happened is that Marie's empty Nest Account got migrated to a Google Account, and the cameras in your barn are still connected to James' Nest Account.
I'm surprised that Support didn't raise this when you talked to them.
If you don't have access to James' account and cannot migrate it to a Google Account, you may have to resort to factory resetting and reinstalling your cameras. The challenge here is that some 1st gen cameras have no factory reset button and can only be factory reset by having the owner (James) remove them from the Google Nest app using the original Nest Account (James').
