Just tried new Google Home app on my iPhone 13.
The page describing the new features appears at startup.
Issue:- When continue is pressed app closes.
Tried rebooting phone, deleting/ reinstalling app = same problem
Tried same process on iPad Pro = same problem
Anyone else having same issue or solved problem?

Are you referring to Version 3.9.104 of the Google Home app that came out 2 weeks ago? We have it installed on 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and are not seeing any startup issues. In fact, I've never seen a page that appears at startup, describing the new features--not for this release or for any release of the Google Home app.
Or are you referring to a new update to the "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app? (We're not using that version.)

I am having the exact same issue and have it on my iPad and iPhone.

Hey everyone,
I understand that you're having trouble connecting to the Google Home app. Our team is already aware of this and started to roll a new software update over the coming weeks. Please check your Google Home app for any updates or try to reinstall the app to automatically get the latest software updates.
Thanks for the help, @MplsCustomer.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
Best,
Edmond

Thanks for acknowledging the problem. Tried reinstalling, however, same problem remains. Will await update.

Hi Tartan,
I’m sorry for the late response. We started a software update last week for the Google Home app on both iOS and Android. Please let us know if you still encounter the same issue when using the Google Home App after getting the latest version of the Google Home App (3.10).
Best,
Edmond

I installed the latest version today (13/12). I went through the standard setup to the point where you are prompted to add additional devices. I skipped this step. The welcome/new features page appears, I select continue and it crashes as before.
I found a workaround. I went into the old Google WiFi app. It’s says the app has been superseded by Google Home and asks to migrate, I select, it says nothing to migrate but then takes me into Google Home bypassing the welcome/what’s new screen. I can now go into Google Home without issue. Tried the same process on my iPad but without updating. Problem still exist. Updated app on iPad and went through the same steps as with iPhone and it works.

Hey there,
Thanks for the information, including the workaround that you tried. Could you please send us a screen recording from your phone where the Google Home crashes after you can select continue so that we can further?
Below are the steps on how to upload a photo or video:
1. Hit reply or Start a new post.
2. Click Insert Image.
3. Choose an image source location.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions
5. Also, you can tap the "Drag and Drop" option. Maximum attachment is 5 MB.
I look forward to your response.
Best,
Edmond

Just tried going in thru Google WiFi (re workaround) and the home screen has changed and says “WiFi app is now read only” and doesn’t allow me to get into the Google Home App.
