New Nest Cams Battery as well as Indoor Wired - creating schedules?

Hi 

This query is in relation to the new Nest Cams that were released this year  - the battery models as well as the wired indoor ones.

Have we lost the ability to create a schedule for them to turn on & off at certain times?

I am not referring to routines as the Home & Away routines are workign fine - i am away, they turn on and vice versa when Home. I am referrign to being able to say...at night time please turn on at midnight for 7 hours. 

Can we do that?

Trying to edit the nightime routine, does not give me options for Cameras or time even. Trying to add my own routine does not give me options for Cameras again.

My requirements is simple: Turn on the Cameras downstairs while i am sleeping upstairs! We did have that on the Nest app for the old cameras but not for the new ones.

Nope, can't do it. You can only do it in the Home/Away routine. So, while you are away, the camera comes on, and while you are home, it can go off, so when someone is breaking in, it doesn't record... lol who thought of that?!?! Can you believe they don't have scheduling? How can you go from the Nest product and lose functionality like scheduling that every other camera product has?!?!

Yes...that is pretty poor on Google's part. I am sure however it is just software and things like this will be added soon enough. 

I forgot to mention I also have Smartthings so maybe I can do something through that.

I am afraid there is no such option besides setting up Routines, and Timers for the Nest Cam with Floodlight (wired) one of the new cameras. Besides that, I am afraid that functionality is not present with the new cameras. You are welcome to continue to leave your feedback here. Please let me know if I can assist you in any other way.

Are you saying the Nest Cam wired floodlight has timers but the neat cam battery does not? My Nest Cam battery is hard wired on my driveway but I see no option to set timers on it. Luckily for me I leave that camera on all the time but this sounds like a Terrie software ommission to me?

I should specify, that the timers are for turning on the Floodlight lighting and sensors. I do not believe it works for turning the Camera on and off if that is what you are asking. But it does have timers. Here is the link to that help article on changing settings on the Nest Cam with Floodlight. Please let me know if you have further questions.
