No option to join Public Preview on Google Home App

I'd like to join the public preview on the Google Home app. But when I look under the "General" section of the "Settings" tab, I do not see the option to join the public preview. I've checked to make sure I have the latest version of the app -- I do. I can't find any other reason why the option may not be showing up. Thoughts?

Close the app and try clearing the app cache. Phone settings/Apps/Home/Storage & Cache/Clear cache.

Then reopen the Google Home App and see if the option is present.

I got an email about this to request invite but also don't have the option in settings menu

You request the invite from within the Google Home App itself. Click the gear icon and then click Public Preview. It took my invite about 2 weeks to show up once I may the request.

Ok then try this, if you already haven't:

1. Clear the Google Home App cache - then open the app and check. (Phone Settings/Apps/Home/Storage & Cache/clear cache)

2. Check for an update on the Google home App on the play store the current version is 2.60.60.5

3. restart the phone/tablet

Yea Im an idiot there are 2 different settings buttons for home app one under the profile picture and one on the main UI ...the preview request is found by opening the main ui settings not the profile home app settings

Sorry, I just assumed that's where you were checking - glad you got it sorted out.

Thanks.  I'm sorry to admit I was making the same mistake.  I was defaulting to the user-menu settings option.  I found this immediately once I read your post.
